I don't know who needs to hear this, but a "mild covid infection" that results in chronic, lifelong disability is not—and will never be—a mild covid infection.

🚨 Nov 5, Dr Bonnie Henry, BC's PHO and Dr Reka Gustafson, Island Health's CMHO, were part of a panel. In her opening remarks Dr. Gustafson repeated BC Public Health's lies about children not transmitting Covid in schools and not getting seriously ill. 🤬 https://t.co/JYGhh6GrUs

I just wonder if Canadian journalists are ever going to contend with their role in getting us to this point. In not challenging governments' & and public health pandemic mishandling - in continuing to enable pandemic minimization, they helped to get us here. Welp.

@ianwrob @Interior_Health Exactly! Heard my rural town has run out of Covid vaccines as have these smaller communities. Public health messaging? “Keep trying!!” Love how they blame the pharmacies…🙄

The insanity of limiting covid vaccination, as compared to flu vaccination, when covid persistently causes a lot more severe illness and death than flu. Why are public health authorities like this?

Covid currently causing significantly more emergency hospitalisations in NI than flu. And JCVI *reduced* vaccine eligibility this winter. I think this decision will prove to be a mistake.

With many BCians not having a family doctor and #LongCovid not well recognized by many doctors, this would be the key part👇 "To access the leave, workers would have to obtain a certificate from a doctor or nurse practitioner saying they’re unable to work due to medical reasons"

Robinson, the disgraced former BC cabinet official fired over anti-Palestinian racist comments, is openly defaming Vancouver City Councillor Sean Orr. Does she realize we have defamation laws, and that you can't just make up harmful things about people and say them in public?

Cllr @seanorr has consistently shown his hatred of Jews and his alliance with the terrorism perpetrated by Hamas and his support for Samidoun. He had a choice to make on October 7 and he chose to stand with terrorists. The hate is real.

When @bcgeu and others talk about bloated management at the expense of the front lines, they're talking about a systemic failure of management from BC govt. Look at health. This is the growth of head office bureaucracy under NDP. That $3.7B would pay for a lot of doctors.
