Next time someone says you're not a "real fan" of something, ask them trivia of the most mundane things.
"You like Mountain Dew? Where's it made? Without looking, list off the nutritional facts."
"Oh you like breathing? How many breaths does the average human take in a day?"
Sitting in my therapists waiting room, someone sees my Black Sabbath shirt and says, "do you even like Black Sabbath?"
Anyway I'm trying to find his info so I can bill him for the 50% of my session time where I complained about him.
Right now: Barricades are up around the Supreme Court building, just minutes after reports from Politico were leaked indicating SCOTUS has voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.
It's been a year since I was hit with the most grief I think I've ever felt in my lifetime.
I lost a friend, the community lost it's loudest member, and a podcast lost a brother.
I still miss you, but I know you're up there telling us to get over ourselves and have fun.
Walking around nude under a flowy robe, feeling like an aged Hollywood starlet who's leading detectives on a goose chase to find out what happened to my husband.
The doorbell rings.
My Arby's has arrived.
The thing about Birds of Prey is it's for the girls--the comic book girls, the action movie loving girls, every girl who is awkward around other girls, every girl who's been called a slut, every girl who has been harassed by someone hiding behind a screen.
Lot of people saying shit like "mcu quotes jezebel article from 2011 and libs will rt this forever"
but like
scenes like this need to keep existing because if they don't, people will forget (or never know in the first place) that these experiences *exist*

might genuinely be the first time some young men hear a woman speak candidly about experiences like this. It might not seem like it but that’s hugely important.
Today I'm 35 🎂 goodbye, worst year of my life.
We've moved 6 times in the last 9 months. I'm so tired.
We're finally home, back in the house we got married in. It's a lot different now, but it's ours.
I'm hoping now I can finally move on from survival-mode.
Have we considered the reason people are obsessive over shit like Marvel and Star Wars is because actual, real life is a goddamn nightmare and at least these things distract the mind?
I lost a friend and my friends lost a loved one. The world is not as bright as it was yesterday, and a hole has been left in our community.
I'll celebrate his life in a little while. For now, I need to sit with my aching heart.
Sorry to say this, and sorry to myself for apologizing in the first place, but I literally do not care about men's opinions on the roe reversal. I truly don't care to hear it. Thank you for being empathetic and caring, but I do not care to hear it.
