No struggling newspaper ever saved itself by becoming a worse and less essential product. But what's happening today at the @washingtonpost is not just the latest devastating contraction of the news industry; it's the gutting of an American institution vital for a healthy society

The immediate reaction from the rest of the staff + outside allies tells you everything about the power dynamic: They are defending the chief of staff, not those she disparaged Makes clear who’s got the juice
Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has helped President Trump achieve the most successful first 11 months in office of any President in American history. President Trump has no greater or more loyal advisor than Susie. The entire Administration is grateful for her steady leadership and

Longtime SEC college football analyst Paul Finebaum briefly considered a career change earlier in 2025 and came close to launching a Republican Senate bid in Alabama. He tells CBS News’ Major Garrett why he ultimately decided against it. https://t.co/u1d9nJbL6i

A good number of Trump supporters actually backed Bernie. Even more supported Obama twice.
Ingraham: AOC thinks that MAGA supporters are now moving towards socialism because of the fact in some cases they are paying more for goods and services Lara Trump: We will have to assume that she had a few too many… No one really believes that Trump voters are turning toward

Zoom in even more and you’ll notice how this project is moving at a breakneck pace. Significant excavation work has been done. And a pile driver is on site to place steel in the ground to help support the weight of the new 90K-square-foot buidling

Zoom in just a bit and you really begin to get an idea of just how large this new structure will be compared to the rest of the WH complex. Huge!

Flew over the White House a few moments ago and saw the construction of President Trump’s new $300 million ballroom. Here’s what I noticed … (1/3)

You voted to impeach him… and agreed to endorse @NikkiHaley until you got scared and backed out like a spineless coward. You’re the most selfish person in office, a fraud, and an embarrassment to SC who lacks the leadership skills needed to even be a manager at Waffle House
The economy grew “better than expected.” Get used to hearing those words. Under President Trump, everything is better. America First. Always.

I’m noticing a divide on immigration policy that I’ve seen before in surveys of authoritarian attitudes. Goes something like this: 1. ICE sends an undocumented person to CECOT 2. It comes out that they didn’t commit any crimes and/or ICE says they fucked up 3. Right-wing people
Arrived in the US legally after making an appointment via the CBP One app to request temporary protected status. Got a job, stayed out of trouble. Now in the torture prison just because he was there to grab.

3 hours after this story published, SSA forbid employees “effective today” from accessing “news,” “sports” and “shopping” websites on government devices. News sites — especially obituaries — are key sources staff rely on to prevent fraud, employees told me
NEW: The Social Security Administration acting head said in a private meeting that DOGE is driving massive cuts to the agency and will make mistakes. Called DOGE "outsiders who are unfamiliar with nuances of SSA programs...I am receiving decisions that are made without my input"

IMO, same could be said for Trump
I wouldn’t vote for Andrew Cuomo to be my mayor, but I think his opps would do well to really understand why someone might (and I don’t think it’s his high name ID). Rage at his potential comeback is justified. Appreciating why it’s even plausible is the key to beating him imo.
