What baseball really needs is 29 more A.J. Prellers.
A surprise name has emerged in the starting pitcher market: Dylan Cease, who will be eligible for free agency at year's end. Perception of other teams is that the Padres are intent on making a push for the playoffs, and would use Cease to help fill other roster needs. Mets, AL.

In the last decade, only three teams had a lower K% than the Blue Jays have right now, and two of those three teams ('15 Royals and '17 Astros) won the World Series.
Jays have lowest K% in ⚾️, but that's hard to put into context because the lowest K% in 2025 would have been the highest in the league for decades. Putting it into context vs lg avg, where 100 is avg and lower is better . it's one of best since WW2.

Great reminder that Chase Utley was closer to Albert Pujols than he was to guys like David Wright.
David Wright was such a special player, sucks about his back. From 2005-2013, the healthy part of his career, there were few better. fWAR 2005-2013: . 1) Albert Pujols 55.1.2) Chase Utley 54.3) Miguel Cabrera 52.6.4) David Wright 46.4.5) Joe Mauer 45.
