When I was a founder, I thought that pretty much all VCs were lazy. Their lives seemed easy--just sit around a conference room, say yes or no to a bunch of founders, and maybe leave work early to play some golf. That might be true for some VCs, but since joining this side of

Learn from @Cyrushshirazi. He is a first-principles thinker, and broke pretty much every rule I had when it came to his fundraise strategy and early company scaling. And he absolutely did it right, with the results to show for it. I love this era of builders he's leading.
The chief of @sequoia is quitting b/c venture is toast and the math doesnโt work anymore. Everyone keeps asking why so many top operators are stepping down from big jobs, leaving prestigious firms, or skipping the โcareer ladderโ entirely to start their own companies. People

Been with my wife 22 years. She is my best friend, and we are laughing all time time. Kids too. It can really be that simple sometimes.
Iโm convinced that 99% of a successful marriage is just genuinely enjoying each otherโs company. People make these long lists of traits they want to find in a partner, but so much of life just comes down to being kind and pleasant to be around.

I can't imagine how @dunkhippo33 could add any value to LinkExchange as a high school intern back in '96...
In '96, I spent a day at LinkExchange "helping" my best friend's cousin Tony. That 1 day was so inspiring. I didn't know then that LI would sell for $260m+ to MSFT. Or Tony would run Zappos. Or @Alfred_Lin would run Sequoia. I just knew I wanted to do startups.

I became a founder back in 2007 because @AndrewYang became my very first paying client, when I was just bootstrapping my education business as a side project. I quit my day job and have never looked back. Here is the check he wrote me.

Had a ton of fun chatting with Lenny. Super pumped to be on a show I listen to each week!
Gamma is wild: - Just 50 people - Generating $100M ARR - Valued at over $2B - Profitable for 15+ consecutive months - With more cash in the bank than they raised - In a category that most VCs dismissed In fact, one investor told @thisisgrantlee his idea was โthe dumbest idea he

I love how @thisisgrantlee went from โdumbest ideaโ to a $100m ARR co (and growing), currently worth over $2B. Heโs one of the best Iโve seen in my career. ๐

โThis is the dumbest idea Iโve ever heard.โ โ VC who passed on @GammaApp ๐คฃ
In 2021, @thisisgrantlee was pitching @GammaApp from his kitchen at 2 a.m. while his kids slept. One investor told him: โThis is the dumbest idea Iโve ever heard. Youโll never succeed in this market.โ Then hung up. He kept going. Built conviction inside his team. From a few

I am blessed beyond measure. Of the many things I have to be thankful for is how I get to serve founders who are more talented than I ever was. Being surrounded by greatness everyday is an inspiring way to live. I'm subtweeting so many of you today. Thank you for saying YES to

It's been such a pleasure to see @thisisgrantlee and @GammaApp grow from the very beginning, via @HustleFundVC. They have shown me a clear mental model of what greatness is/should look like in this era of building with AI. Congrats on the phenomenal Series B! So well deserved!
Today, as shared by The New York Times, weโre announcing two things: >Our Series B at a $2.1B valuation led by @sarahdingwang at @a16z. >Reaching $100M ARR, profitably, with a team of just 50 people. That's $2M ARR per employee. PowerPoint was invented before the first website,

Founders are so locked in, there no time to poop?
โI only poop once a week. If Iโm lucky maybe twiceโ WHAT DO YOU MEAN? Youโre supposed to be pooping at least twice or three times A DAY. If youโre poop schedule is once a week or twice then thereโs something wrong with your digestive system.

@HustleFundVC was built on one idea. Great hustlers can come from anywhere. Execution > speed. Iteration > ideas. Consistency > credentials. Thatโs what @ericbahn backs. Pleasure to have spent the day with Eric understanding what makes Hustle Fund stand out from traditional
