It's hard to believe that a few weeks ago, I was in Critical Care on a ventilator with my heart, kidneys & liver failing. Now, I've just managed a litter pick. I had to stop after one bag as I'm not strong enough yet, but at least I've done something to help keep the area tidier.

I have written for @DFTBubbles about implementation science in paediatric intensive care. To improve the care we give the sickest children, we need to mobilise knowledge to the bedside. If you are interested, get in touch! @IMPACT_Collab

In my view UKFPO stats on "X% got their first choice" are false. The new system encourages applicants to put non-competitive deaneries (that may not be their 'true' first choice) first, to avoid worse outcomes. I hope someone studies what % get their true first choice
Our study of >2200 UK medical students is published Headlines: >50% felt allocation system for newly qualified (FY) doctor posts was unfair 46% noticed negative impact on physical/mental health Up to 48% are considering career outside NHS Link here: https://t.co/d1ioZf25ce
