I am begging, pleading so-called "allies" to stop repeating this nonsense. It's deeply unhelpful and just plain inaccurate.
In biological terms, a woman/man is someone identified as that sex by their midwife at birth, due to male/female organs.
But society created different roles for men/women for reasons not justified by biology (Gender), so the choice to assume such roles is up to the individual.

When I say that Labour is a party of transphobia, that includes Scottish Labour. Deeply disappointing that delegates either couldn't spot the transphobic dogwhistles, or could spot them and lapped them up anyway. Thank goodness for the unions who voted against this awful motion.
70% of Scottish Labour constituency parties voted in favour of a transphobic dogwhistle and anti-sex worker motion at their conference.
Only prevented from passing by overwhelming opposition from affiliated trade unions.

I gave evidence to the education committee in 2022 and Kerr repeatedly interrupted, spoke over me and responded to my comments with undue indignation. When a male uni principal followed me and made similar points, Kerr was markedly friendlier. He's unfit for the office he holds.

NEW: Unite will vote on whether to disaffiliate from the Labour party at its conference in Brighton tomorrow around 11am
If the motion passes, it means Unite will change its rules to be able to donate to parties other than Labour — or independent candidates such as Jeremy Corbyn

Emotions are complicated. I'm simultaneously thrilled and gutted, overjoyed and heartbroken. It'll take me a while to process the Glasgow result, but for now I'm just absolutely scunnered by it. Scotland would've been a much brighter place with Kim in parliament.

Outside of London, rents especially for new tenancies are increasing the most in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee.
