Jesus wept. How embarrassing.
Think what you like – when Rylan is commenting on it, you know the migrant crisis is for real. ✍️ @GWalker9 .

Quite right. All that poverty, beggary, mass emigration, sky-high infant mortality, TB, and non-existent women’s rights. Oh for the good old days. ~sarc.
Ireland nearly 100 years ago. We had nothing, but had everything. Remnants of this life could be seen in the Ireland I grew up in in the 1970s and 80s. All now, sadly gone, it seems Irish cultural identity has become an embarrassment to the EU elites.

There’s a lesson there for airports. If airports got some revenue from railway fares, then they’d be more likely to support train stations on site. They don’t have to rely so much on parking revenue.
Alton Towers was first opened to the public as a result of the coming of the railway. Money raised from railway excursions was paid to the Earl of Shrewsbury to help maintain the grounds. A special exit from the station was built to manage the crowds and it’s still there today.

The people who want you to ride single file want to be able to pull dangerous crap like this. Don’t let them. Take the lane and let them wait until it’s safe to pass. Ride two abreast to shorten the group and facilitate a quick overtake when it’s safe to do so.
When drivers say that cyclists should ride in single file and keep close to the edge. It's so that they can do this. Watch the Renault at the end. Had that happened as the Toyota driver was dangerously overtaking the cyclists, it would have resulted in a catastrophic collision.

Hot take: National flags belong on flagpoles. Putting them on lampposts to mark territory is tacky and disrespectful.

Nice to see a modern structure with a bit of grace and beauty built in.
Today I saw the stunning new 3.4km Colne Valley Viaduct: soon to be UK’s longest rail bridge, it frees up capacity & gives resilience to West Coast Mainline & other routes. It has won the @RoyalFineArt Commission Trust’s Building Beauty award: it is graceful; monumental; superb.
