[1/16] Deeply flawed and completely misleading modelling from Medifintech’s own @gdcuk Graham Crossley at @Quilter. Here's why the £125k pension headline is erroneous, misleading, and deeply flawed 👇

Practices are telling us they need more GPs but lack the funding to employ them. Thank you to the more than 8,000 GPs and GP Registrars who signed our letter to the Health Secretary urging him to make the 10-Year Workforce Plan a genuine roadmap to train, recruit and retain more

Energy Standing Charges news... how disappointing! @Ofgem will today launch a final consultation that from January firms will be forced to offer a low Standing Charge tariff. Here’s my press quote on it. How disappointing! There was a chance to see a proper mandated low

Paracetamol is the first choice of painkiller if you're pregnant and is still considered the safest choice of pain relief during pregnancy. There is no evidence it causes autism in children. Kate Brintworth, our Chief Midwifery Officer, explains more 🎥

We are asking the new Home Secretary @ukhomeoffice to guarantee international newly qualified GPs are able to stay and work in the UK. Approx 1,600 of these will need a visa this year but our survey with @BMA found many are struggling to get one. @KamilaRCGP @DeepthiLavu Dr Akram

Newly qualified IMG GPs are being forced out of the NHS due to a lack of sponsorship access! All that time, energy & money spent on training... but no UK-based GP job for them at the end of it @DHSCgovuk you wanted evidence and data - well here it is @rcgp @BMAGPRegistrars

Rachel Reeves’ plan to slap NI on partnerships would rip £190m from GP surgeries already on their knees. It will devastate GP partners, accelerate practice closures & drive doctors away from partnership - the backbone of NHS general practice. #SaveOurGPs https://t.co/UAVrXvQtB1

Today, we've written to @SKinnock Too many patients are unable to access the care they need, yet the new cohort of GPs are facing unemployment. We' re asking Government to urgently consider additional ring-fenced funding to address this crisis as soon as possible.

‘Virtual wards’ cost the NHS on average £665 for a 4 day ‘admission’ to your own home ‘community care’ run by secondary care providers This would be run at a quarter of the cost or less if managed by Primary Care providers Carry on @DHSCgovuk @wesstreeting - great job 👏🏼

Not verified this but if it’s true then ; GP £20 for advice and guidance to try and reduce hospital referrals Hospitals £33 for no advice and guidance simply to remove from lists 🤔 @DrSteveTaylor @doctor_katie

Nothing unusual about a validation exercise - you’d hope this is done routinely. What’s unusual this year is Trusts are being incentivised to remove patients from the waitlist (£33 for each clockstop according to this screenshot from Dudley NHS)
