Really looking forward to it!.
Great to be hosting Damien Keating on 5th June; Deputy Director of the Flinders Health & Medical Research institute. His research focusses on how sensory cells lining our gut wall can activate gut-brain signalling and the relevance of this pathway for mental health. @dj_keating.

A new paper from us led by @ConfocalJones and co in human gut tissue showing GLP-1 and PYY secretion decrease with BMI and age depending on the site in the GI tract. The result of many secretion experiments by us over many years.
Jones et al.: "negative correlation of GLP-1 [release] and BMI in the small, but not large, intestine. Increased aging correlates with declining secretion of both GLP-1 and PYY in human large, but not small, intestine"💡.

Great work @davidjohnlynn. Not many years as big as you’ve had in 2022. Here’s to a bigger 2023 and beyond.
What a day! Started off in the morning attending a ceremony where my primary school aged daughter received an award from her school and finished the day receiving 2 awards myself from the @Flinders college of medicine and public health. @EMBLAustralia @sahmriAU.
