What’s the point of a retractable roof if you don’t take advantage of a 69°, 48° Dewpoint, 8moh wind out to LF, 95% blue sky evening???? Like what are we doing here
2:47p - Delay. Maybe in about an hour things become less persistent and we start to get some gaps before more consistent clearing moves in in a couple hours. Stretch your legs, dry off, have a beverage…
Rain chances persist throughout the game window tonight, though probabilities drop as the evening progresses. The bulk of the heavier rain should fall this afternoon. It’s looking like a foggy, misty one in the best case, so bring a poncho. Temps low 60s, winds light in from RF.
Game 162, & the Cubs final game of 2019. It has been a pleasure being a small part of

with you all. We'll occasionally post

/Winter Storm related things in the offseason, and we’ll be forecasting for Mesa before you know it.
Bad weather, well behaved. Huge series win.
Cubs head to San Diego. Weather looks easy. Going to be slammed with Eclipse coverage tomorrow, so will check in later this week. No issues on the table for Padres series, though. Typical San Diego stuff.
We apologize that our forecast inaccurately forecasted a less than one hundred percent chance of BEER SNAKE.
We pride ourselves on accurate forecasts and will aim to be better in the future.
The winds of change are blowing through Wrigley. It's not a cold spring wind, but it's no warm summer breeze either. It's ripe with memories of loud nights in late fall and stings with heartache.
Tues: Models have showers/storms in N. IL throughout game window. Moisture ~99th percentile for early June, heavy rain potential there. Models hint at a round ~game start, a gap, then storms encroaching again late game. Not set in stone, but yep - potential for issues tonight.
Thanks for the camaraderie

. You make following this team way weirder & way more fun.
We’ll occasionally update for major winter weather, & maybe some Bears games.
Here’s to 2018. It wasn’t all bad. I have a scar on my left shin from Bote’s grand slam to prove it.
Cool to hear a loud rendition of “Go Cubs Go” after few blocks north of Wrigley Field though the showers after Michael Busch’s walk-off home run against the Padres.
.
@Cubs
win it 3-2 to improve to 22-15 as Busch hit his 7th homer of the season.
7:56p CT This has been annoying. But the final boss is in sight. Things are backing off. I’m sure the field is not in the most amazing shape, but if this is close to wrapping up.
1:30 PM UPDATE: It won't be pretty, but there should be baseball at Wrigley Field tonight. Aside from perhaps a quick shower or two, the main area of precip should lift out of the Chicago metro by around 3 PM. Game temps will be around 40F-42F. Cold wind in from CF 20-25 MPH.
Simultaneously screaming with Rizzo as the Cubs took the lead late in Game 7 is one of the greatest memories I (
@skydrama
) have ever been gifted. Rizzo's will be my favorite breakfast cereal for life.
Thank you for all of it
@ARizzo44
9:10a CT: Level 3 out of 5 Severe Risk for Chicagoland today as a Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado outbreak takes shape. High ceiling exists for this event, particularly in the damaging winds dept (3rd image)
Window for severe opens at 7p-1a, with the most likely timing ~10-11p
Thanks for everything in 2023,

with you all. Won’t be long until we’re

’ in Mesa and getting excited about these Cubs getting another crack at it.
Til then, keep one eye on the sky ☁️⚡️
The Cubs have had a high tolerance for pain when it comes to cold, rainy April games. They’ll test that line once again tonight. Dicey tonight, followed by 3 chilly but unproblematic day games. Here’s the deets on the Marlins series at Wrigley >>
Wednesday update: Did you enjoy the last few innings of the home opener? Have you found yourself longing for mixed precipitation and wind? Do you really like winter coats & ponchos? I have just the game for you. Hang in there, I think it will be worth it.
They'll play tonight, not because it will be ideal baseball weather, but because this is the current forecast radar for 1 PM tomorrow afternoon. Seems unlikely they play the series finale, so you have to think they'll suck it up and brave the cold tonight to at least salvage one.
