Old Twitter is being destroyed, and its epitaph is this bullshit rationale from @elonmusk. “That which matches the law” isn’t a thing — the 1st Amendment *does not specify* an ideal environment for speech. It’s designed to let different groups adopt different norms. 🧵.
By “free speech”, I simply mean that which matches the law. I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law. If people want less free speech, they will ask government to pass laws to that effect. Therefore, going beyond the law is contrary to the will of the people.

Just to be clear, @elonmusk is a dipshit whose grasp of social policy is as confused as his understanding of free speech.
This is why the “homeless” (more accurately referred to as “drug zombies”) problem only gets worse with increased funding.

I just saw I got a blue check again, because @elonmusk is a sad, thirsty clown. The few times I've posted on here since he bought Twitter have been to dunk on his awful management of this place. I want no part of his bullshit. Off to figure out how to get rid of the check.

Just over a year old, and a contender for a top spot on the "Tweets that aged well" list.
i was on tumblr when yahoo had to sell it for $3 million after buying it for $1.1 billion. we were all a little bit responsible for losing yahoo a billion dollars. and with that type of collective effort, i believe we here on twitter can lose elon musk even more.
