I write the Garbage Day newsletter about web culture and host the Panic World podcast. They're both really good.

I'm not being sarcastic when I say it might be better for society if politicians were the ones to log off. A lot of government officials use their taxpayer-funded salaries primarily to get attention on the internet, and it is bad.

Not really sure where this guy is getting this. The BBC, as of 14 minutes ago, has family friends saying that Robinson "stated Kirk 'was full of hate and spreading hate'." Not really how Groypers would describe things... https://t.co/TEFnW4OA33

The 22-year-old man from Utah is set to appear in court on Tuesday to face formal charges over the killing.
According to Utah officials + police interviews with his family, Tyler Robinson hated Charlie Kirk because Kirk wasn't conservative enough. (Robinson reportedly admired Nick Fuentes). GOPer's now scrubbing X posts about dems faster than DOJ erases Trump name in Epstein files.

Some worthwhile reading that to me seems to have a better grasp of the moment right now than mainstream media does

It was very weird going from seeing Superman (twice), which I loved and can't stop thinking about, to seeing Fantastic Four, a movie I briefly forgot I saw.

Marvel is still so embarrassed of their own source material that they couldn't have any fun with Reed Richards' stretching power, meanwhile Superman is crushing the box office with kaijus and a dog that wears a cape. A vibe has seriously shifted with audiences.
The MCU is so funny. They changed Kamala’s powers so that Reed would be the solo stretch hero. But he barely optimized his stretch.

.@broderick has an exceptional piece on online age verification - how the UK is censoring lots of non-pornographic content too and the other dangers of age verif - considering the new UK law with the Tea app breach. Imagine if the Tea breach happened to an entire country.

Was so caught on the fact he knows the exact amount of times Clinton visited the island that I totally missed the word "privilege" in there. Fantastically handled, Mr. President.
Trump: For years I wouldn't talk to Jeffrey Epstein. He did something that was inappropriate. He hired help and I said don't ever do that again. He stole people that worked for me
