Jon interviewed Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas Attorney General, about why her state banned gender-affirming care for minors - ignoring the guidelines of major medical organizations and taking the decision out of parents’ hands. Watch the full interview on @AppleTVPlus

Excited to share our latest work on identifying the stem cell factors of the vascular cambium. This work is a result of fruitful collaboration with @khwjtuss and @peter_etchells labs. Here is a long🧵 how we got this far 1/x

Wood constitutes the majority of terrestrial biomass. Composed of xylem, it arises from one side of the vascular cambium, a bifacial stem cell niche that also produces phloem on the opposing side. It...

I recently made a 720 and it was a battle. The last one I made before this was over three years ago, and it’s much harder now all things considered: recently dislocated fingers hinder my grab, my spin is slower so I need to go higher for full rotation and... I’m really old.

Delighted to share our fresh-off-the-press review! Why did glutamate, GABA, and melatonin become intercellular signalling molecules in plants? https://t.co/gx1cqOHXsv And by "our" I really mean Yaron Caspi, the main contributor, idea generator & hard worker who made it happen!

All Editors of NeuroImage (IF = 7) resigned because Elsevier didn’t want to reduce the hefty publication fee (it’s $3,450 !!!). And then started their OWN journal! Just a reminder - the profit margin for academic publishing often reaches 40% (while for non-academic - 15%).

Exciting news: I'll start as Junior Group Leader at @ZMBP_Tuebingen in October. We'll study plant cell identity and development. Particularly how plants control the timing of fate transitions. Job ad for a PhD position to follow soon! Check out this new print/draft lab logo 🌱
