As I've said before, Venezuela isn't what happens when socialism fails, it's what happens when socialism succeeds. Thuggery and poverty.

Hunger, chronic blackouts, and scarcity of essential medicines plague Venezuela. Today, more than 70% of residents live in poverty — a stunning reversal of fortune for a nation that was once one of the wealthiest countries in the world. https://t.co/lxCDtMxagO

Venezuela was the 4th richest country on earth in 1950. It didn't see any big wars, suffer demographic replacement or colonial rule by hostile or dumb foreigners, nor any major natural disasters. All it took was foolish greedy bullies getting into power. It can happen here.

Here's a longer-term chart. The simple story is correct. Capitalism created Poland's miracle, and socialism created Venezuela's catastrophe.

Amazing chart, Venezuela used to be wealthier than Poland. Poland introduced capitalism & free market principles, Venezuela followed socialism Free market makes people wealthier, socialism always ends in bitter poverty and misery. Why are young people so fascinated by socialism?

I've been to Venezuela visiting their Orinoco Petroleum Belt in the eastern part of the country and the Maracaibo Basin in the west. The potential there is unbelievable. Trust me. If they changed regimes and began to receive US capital to develop its oil, it will be a massive

What little coverage the legacy press has given Arctic Frost — Biden’s FBI targeting hundreds of elected Republicans — has focused on the pushback, or fact checking the claims, rather than covering the enormous abuse of power.

This is a blatant, bright line, unambiguous violation of 2 U.S.C. 6628, and it was done deliberately by Boasberg to prevent the Senate from being able to vindicate its rights in federal court. Federal law explicitly bans these types of gag orders on collection of Senate

Here’s the nondisclosure order signed by Jeb Boasberg in May 2023 prohibiting Verizon from notifying several US senators and one House member that Jack Smith had subpoenaed their phone records. Verizon complied with the subpoenas and NDOs with the exception of Ted Cruz.

Judge Boasberg ordered that I not be informed that my cellphone records had been subpoenaed because he believed that I’d tamper with evidence or intimidate witnesses. That’s a complete abuse of judicial power, and Boasberg should be impeached.

Corrupt federal judge James Boasberg’s gag order against AT&T, which prevented AT&T from informing the Senate it was being spied on, was itself illegal and a blatant violation of 2 U.S.C., which requires the Senate to be given notice of collection of its data or communications.

The U.S. is quietly innovating behind the loud theater around China & rare-earths. Instead of using decades of chemistry fine tuned by the Chinese, it’s pioneering membrane tech that could skip 20 years of chemical grind. If it scales, Beijing’s moat disappears overnight.

The Left's use of climate lawfare to do an end run around Congress to impose an unconstitutional carbon tax is astonishing in and of itself, but even more so when you consider the results of these policies -- higher taxes, higher energy prices, and a hindrance to American energy

Boulder’s climate lawyer just said the quiet part out loud. He admitted the city’s lawfare against energy companies is a backdoor plan to… 🛑 Impose a carbon tax 🛑 Bankrupt US energy producers 🛑 Force ‘green’ energy poverty on voters Important analysis from former AG Barr 👇

I think it is more likely we get 1,000 MWs of Kairos reactors built in our country than even one AP1000 over the next ten years. I just don’t see any coordination between Westinghouse, Brookfield, and the Canadian Government with regards to cost overrun insurance.

This chart continues to make the rounds. Many people are surprised to see China at $2.5k / kW. I’m glad people are starting to recognize this. But I’m also flabbergasted that nobody is looking at the bottom left corner. I assume the source data here is the Lovering report,

Annual CO2 emissions of China exceeded emissions of all 38 OECD countries combined. Dear climate activists throwing tomato soup at Mona Lisa, you are in the wrong country. I‘m afraid even the EU bottle caps may not be enough to save the planet.
