"Briton diagnosed with rabies after psychiatrist raised fears" I think a lot more psychiatric illness than we would like to admit is caused by infection. But this one also kills you. Maybe there's a lot more of that than we'd like to admit too. https://t.co/33rxqIOUvW

Too often, people ( & Government) observe rising rates of mental illness & debate it as a binary: either “real” or “made up”, with overdiagnosis to blame for the latter. But this is the wrong way to understand the problem. ⁦⁦@CAMHSNetwork

It’s tempting to dismiss the proliferation of labels as a fad, but there’s more to this phenomenon than a simple culture-war reading allows

Trivialising ADHD re debate about ‘overdiagnosis’ is discriminatory & divisive & an excuse for Govt to avoid taking action. independent ADHD Taskforce 2025 stated this is a cross-systems- all public sector services issue. https://t.co/BtebRWlaa2 @DHSCgovuk @wesstreeting @TheBMA

The global phenomenon that is the neurodiversity movement is calling into question long established but mistaken concerns of how a ‘normal child’ learns, behaves & adapts to nurturing or disabling environments. @DrGaborMate offers excellent insights https://t.co/UZ1chA2f2S
