This is absolute nonsense @DailyMail. The Francis Review recognises the successes and educational improvements of recent decades. It builds on the strong practice already in the system. Its recommendations are thoughtful and evidence-based.

My reading of the CAR is that they’ve been alert to the risk of lowering standards, and I think the report is largely successful. I certainly don’t think it has “dumbed down schools”.
