Happy New Year! Some sightings so far today: Long tailed duck at Barrow tanks. Lesser Scaup and Waxwing CVL. BNG at Portbury and a gannet off Battery Point.
Latest GFS still supports the idea of the snow risk widely across the country on Friday-Saturday night into Saturday morning. As I said in yesterdays blog, its impossible to pin point where exactly it may snow.
Finally got the a shot of the Tawny Owl I have heard recently. This was shot in almost complete darkness without a flash at a shutter speed of 1 second!
Anybody any suggestions what this bird is. Was seen in the company of Tits on Sunday in Westbury-on-Trym. Any improvements on a partial leucistic Chaffinch?
