4/ At Franko square in 2025 students were 27.4% of all participants. On Maidan 2013 (first stages of the protest) only 12% were students (measured by @dem_initiatives). “Only students” stereotype is wrong, but their role has clearly grown.

3/ Compared with Maidan 2013: Average age then was 36, with 38% under 30. Now, 70% of protestors were 18-34. Gender balance also shifted: in 2013 men prevailed (56%), now women are the majority (57%) among the protestors.

/1 Sampling combined two stages, adapted to the location: 1️⃣ At the entrances, interviewers systematically selected every 6th to 15th person depending on the flow. 2️⃣ Later, on the square itself, each interviewer covered a section and surveyed every 10th person they passed.

Ukrainian protests in July have sparked a lot of attention and debate recently. This is a survey conducted among the participants by @kse_ua, published by @voxukraine (thanks to @oonuch, @GwendolynSasse for advice). 387 protesters were surveyed using structured questionnaires.🧵
