"All Media School and IU students, faculty and staff should be scared by this blatant attack on someone standing up for what’s right," student Editors-In-Chief Mia Hilkowitz and Andrew Miller said in a statement. Read more: https://t.co/3P9tbBFUW5

@idsnews @catecharron @indystar The cut impacts their upcoming Oct. 16 edition, which IDS editor @andrew_mmiller said was in the final stages of production. “The ads were sold, we got the dummies, we were working on the pages already,” Miller said.

IU previously directed the Indiana Daily Student to stop printing news coverage in our paper. Upon pushback, IU fully cut print, including our special editions. The IDS was not involved in the decision. Letter from the editors to come.

Big news out of Bloomington: Less than 24 hours after firing the @idsnews adviser over content disputes, IU administrators cut the IDS' print edition, effective immediately. Editors say the change appears indefinite. @catecharron+ I for @indystar: https://t.co/x1Ec2rFwpN

@chronicle Thanks to @plagiarismtoday, @brianlfrye and other academic integrity and intellectual property experts for weighing in on this — making their respective cases for why plagiarism allegations like this this do and don't matter.

📰 New for the Herald-Times: 85 consecutive words in Pamela Whitten's doctoral dissertation appear copied verbatim from another academic article — a more clear-cut instance of plagiarism than those highlighted by previous @chronicle reports, experts say. https://t.co/iB8jO5cNvC

Worth noting that I've heard not-yet-verified reports that IU began scrubbing Wang from their webpages prior to the FBI raid. The H-T has searched local and federal courts for cases involving Wang and his wife Nianli Ma, but nothing's come up so far.

Xiaofeng Wang – whose home was searched by the FBI last Friday – was fired by IU's provost on the same day. That's unusual (and even prohibited) under IU policy, which requires a hearing and advanced notice for terminating a tenured professor. https://t.co/5HCLZhTD5M

Professors say Wang's immediate firing violates established IU processes for tenured professors. IU is still scrubbing mentions of Wang's name online.

Earlier this year, someone I interviewed a few years ago contacted me and said several concerning things about their time at a sober living house in Bloomington. Some weeks of gathering information and interviews later, here's the story:

One interesting note: When asked about the difference between their chancellor roles and Rahul Shrivastav's provost post, both answered along the lines of, "I'm not quite sure." A listing for the job by @isaacson_miller suggests the provost will report to the chancellor.

It only took 68 years. After being tucked away in a box since 1957, Kurt Vonnegut's GHQ board game, which he envisioned as "the third most popular checkerboard game" behind chess and checkers, has hit store shelves. Read how it happened here: https://t.co/1eeAg6aHn8

A decade before “Slaughterhouse-Five,” Vonnegut pitched what he believed would be “the third popular checkerboard game” – behind checkers and chess.

IU students vote overwhelmingly Democratic, but participation waned (a lot) in 2022. Will Kamala reinvigorate young voters? Looked at IU student voting in past elections for @theheraldtimes: https://t.co/CAcABPyH2t
