My latest on Nevada’s switch from their old funding plan to a weighted student funding plan. Good first-year effects, but not necessarily for the students intended to benefit from the weighted portion of the plan. Some work to be done in appropriately targeting the funds.
More states and school districts are adopting weighted student funding reforms. But do these reforms help students? @bradmarianno, Spinrad, & Griffard found Nevada’s Pupil-Centered Funding Plan improved student achievement in first year of implementation.
