@patrickkeneally @newscomauHQ Did 5 months of fruit picking 10 years ago. It pays barely above minimum wage, if you are lucky - a lot less if you get a bad farmer. It also involves 7 day weeks when the fruit is ripe. There's a reason they make it required to get a 2nd year visa.

@lucyallan @JustinWelby One of my long past relatives was also Archbishop of Canterbury. All Archbishops from time to time will have strong views that don’t suit the government of the day. Compassion and justice trump politics. The Church is supposed to make moral stands against immoral policies
