yeah it's sad that gender coded titles have different implications. king/queen as well. i prefer using the terms based on the implied role than the person's gender, but i try avoiding their usage around some transgender friends in general. am afraid they'll take it the wrong way

it takes a bit of reading to get into it. to me the main appeal is the collaborative storytelling with other friends. very basically, one person creates a setting and NPCs and just stuff for you to interact with, and you then decide how your character goes about what's happening
