Two cats stuck around last night, and they came back tonight. Bc it's getting very cold tonight, I've brought em into a little sectioned off part of my kitchen with a makeshift bed, litterbox, and food+water. Will be calling a rescue in the morning. They're very sweet

If they're content with that all winter, that's fine. I might look into making a nicer shelter. If they demand to be let in I'll let em in, and I've got a few potential leads for adoption if that's the case. I'd love to adopt em myself but it's really just not feasible rn :(

I've mentioned some of this in replies but I've still got people DMing for updates so: currently they seem to actually prefer just spending the night in the box I made outdoors (even when it's in the 20s) and coming and hanging out throughout the day. Gives em a bit more freedom.

no leads yet. So I'll try this: if anyone wants to take these guys off the streets this winter, please DM me. I'm almost exactly halfway between DC and Pittsburgh. Very well behaved, but they are strays, so not neutered or potty trained (yet! - they prefer to go outside)

Really feels like the right went from "I don't really understand this LGBTQ+ but it's a free country and informed and consenting adults can do what they want" to "you're all pedos and groomers and we're coming for you and your kids" in a very short amount of time
