It's very easy to think you'll not be involved in the criminal justice system, until you are. This right exists for a reason. For 800 years. Removing it to clear a backlog is like removing the brakes on a car to increase the flow of traffic.
@DavidLammy @UKLabour Can you point me to the removal of trial by jury in the 2024 Manifesto please? No, thought not. Trial by jury is the citizens last defence against an unjust law.

I've had limited sim training outside of ATLS moulages, so I was delighted to spend the day learning about non technical skills in this virtual theatre. Lots of human factors musings @BrennanSurgeon ... and a manikin with pupillary reflexes! 👀 @uclh

Together with the leaders of Europe, Canada and Japan, we have declared our readiness to work on the 28-point plan despite some reservations. However, before we start our work, it would be good to know for sure who is the author of the plan and where was it created.

Almost 3 years ago, we were asked to come and teach the community bystander CPR & Stop the Bleed after an incident in a local neighborhood. And we are back where it began, at the Mack Lewis Boxing Gym: 125 sessions &. thousands in Baltimore taught! Invest in community!

While checking in for a ct scan the person in front of me was checking in for a colonoscopy. She asked if they needed her ID - the woman checking her in said. And I quote. “No, we don’t run into too many people showing up to take someone else’s colonoscopy” 😂😂

The reason they train is the same reason they strike: they entered medicine under the promise of a normal career, not a decade-long bottleneck with below-market wages. Most countries don’t treat doctors like this. The UK’s system is the outlier. Full breakdown of why in the
Just heard on BBC Radio Suffolk this is the 13th junior doctors' strike in 3 years. Begs the question: if you're that unhappy with the terms and conditions offered, why train to do the job? 🤔🧐

Look just how far the so called “Labour” party has fallen. Once the proud voice and political arm of organised labour, standing up for rights of those who do the work in our society. Now they call for workers to cross picket lines. Pathetic. #LabourInNameOnly
Wes Streeting has urged doctors to stop striking and cross picket lines “for the sake of your patients” https://t.co/IrYxDBPoqS
