Tiny update. About 3 people from the US have been reading my 'wolf keystone species' post and I am currently adding to it some new summaries. 1 person from Latvia has been visiting my other blog and reading about fences and fladry as preventive measures.

Apparently, grey wolves went extinct in Bangladesh in the 1940-ies. Time for reintroduction >:)

Also, curiously, I wrote to school officials in US, Finland and Germany but someone viewed the materials from Bangladesh :D

Strangely, when I am writing to school representatives offering educational materials on wolves, I feel like knocking on someone's door, saying, 'Would you like to hear about our Lord Jesus Christ?' ^_^

I generally believe that our global crisis....es.... crises? our global crises are due to the fact that we are constantly mass killing innocent living beings (wolves but also badgers and others). We cannot lead a happy life with this blood on our conscience.

I will also engage otherwise (e.g., public comments, emails to Dep of Interior etc.). I believe that it is most important not just that wolves are relisted but that they never become exposed to hunting pressure even after actual recovery.

I am gradually ditching Twitter. It has become offensive and useless. I just wished to let the fellow wolf advocates know that I am not ditching wolf advocacy. I have begun sending wolf-related education materials to schools in the US and Europe.

Currently, EC is propagating myths about wolves that are not correct and that draw on people's fears and misplace people's anger and worries. Wolves will not be your scapegoat. It is your incompetence, not wolves, that threatens EU citizens. @EU_Commission

I think that myths are very important and they are a means to understanding our world. However, there are myths that are correct in their interpretations and there are also incorrect myths that have arisen out of fear, hate and sometimes - propaganda. @EU_Commission

@SecDebHaaland @Interior @POTUS @USFWS In WI, wolf recovery is relatively recent and wolf density is low due to human disturbance and gradual recolonization. But this study will also show whether wolves at such low densities are capable of stopping CDW. #RelistWolves

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) has released a draft of their 2023 Gray Wolf Conservation and Management Plan, updating the previous 2003 plan. The public has been granted a 60-day comment period, ending on Dec. 19. https://t.co/UgdyWCIUI7

@EU_Commission Our history has been that of conflict with wild species because until very recently people intruded into wild areas considerably (grazing livestock in forests or very close to forests). We are making a new history. It should be exciting and encouraging. @EU_Commission

We do not know what stable wolf populations would look like in Europe and how wolves would learn to handle the boundaries set by civilization. We do not have that experience because our history has never seen protected wilderness separated from farms. @EU_Commission

Wolves need to remain protected in the EU. In fact, the states that currently manage wolves lethally (e.g., Latvia, Estonia, northern Finland and Sweden) should also be forced to grant full protections for wolves. We can never learn to coexist unless we start. @EU_Commission

@SecDebHaaland @Interior @POTUS @USFWS @SecDebHaaland @Interior @POTUS @USFWS In fact, the first wolf pack in Montana emerged all on its own in the 1980-ies. #RelistWolves
