Been working in tech for almost 20 years and seen critical path charts used maybe 3 times and one of those times is b/c I made it.
@infosec_fox That and a basic critical path. If you break out what can be done in parallel vs what depends on other tasks, clears up a lot of confusion.

I always thought my American grandmother was of Scottish/English descent. Then the work cafeteria âinternational buffetâ had German Day and it was all food my grandmother would make. Checked with my dad and he said âyeah, your great grandmother was Germanâ.
thought about asking people to share german lore about themselves but iâm scared what people might say

Favorite âmaking of storyâ:. âThe dailies were so dark, I thought I was wearing my sunglasses and when I went to take them off I realized I wasnât wearing any!â. Francis Ford Coppola.
2. In the opening scene of "The Godfather" (1972), Marlon Brando's character, Don Vito Corleone, is seen stroking a cat. This was not scripted but happened when a stray cat wandered onto the set

From this convo btw:.
@RStopmer @samthelamb2003 @dgant and I chatted about AI in general and StarCraft bots in particular. (Apparently you can do really well with rules based bots).

I should make a thread of all of the genius observations my mom has made over the years.
"Of course! If you are a man and you have a gun, you don't think you need anyone else's help. Take away that gun and now you suddenly need people!" #smartlady

Was going to do a Kaggle but thought: âI donât know all the advanced stats packagesâ. Then comment talking to @dgant and him saying âI won multiple automated StarCraft competitions with basically a bunch if/then statementsâ. Aka sometimes the simple ways are the best.

A lot of kids who cause problems are really just looking for attention, validation and affirmation. Source: I coached a LOT of college kids who needed this (I mean everyone does, really).
Teacher here: Had a kid I couldn't standârude, sulky, contempt in human form. Asked AI to write them an encouraging letter, copied it out by hand. Kid did a 180, now chats with me after class. Thanks, robot overlords.
