The reason Golden Hour looks great isn't specifically the "golden" part!. Biased light colors have a compositing effect, pulling the image towards a coherent palette. The opinionated spectrum SAYS something that a white-lit scene doesn't.

Broadly useful idea:. If you're repeatedly optimizing a number, missing in both directions suggests accuracy. If you're always wrong in same direction, you have an accuracy problem. Example: "the optimal amount of Bad Thing is not zero".
