By my count I see one unnamed source (and a reference to other officers). They didn’t even get the head of the PBA to say that other people would quit!

Maybe it’s true! Maybe not (this is where knowing something of history becomes useful). That’s just not the standard for publication most of us are held to.

This piece raises some huge questions! For one: what are the editorial standards that would allow you to print a whole story about cops quitting the NYPD without a single named officer quoted on record, and will those standards now be adopted at CBS News?

Meanwhile, polling last month showed the lowest percentage of Americans are drinking in 90 years! And *a majority* of Republicans now do not drink at all. The GOP, which has been adding the usually beer-crushing demographic of young men, has somehow become a teetotaling vanguard.

Bud Light has never recovered. Last week, #1 American beer Modelo was passed up by Michelob Ultra. In earnings calls, Modelo/Corona’s CEO has said repeatedly that ICE raids have kept its Latino drinkers hiding inside, economically precarious and not in a drinking mood.

Two and a half years since the Bud Light boycott, the movement has become a quiet, multi-front, and total War on Beer. The White House has used tariffs and ICE raids to devastate Modelo and Corona. Hulk Hogan died trying to get conservatives back on light beer. Nothing’s working.
