This paper has not been celebrated by everyone in the low carb community but I agree with @zoeharcombe it does at least show what diet can do in T2D and helps wean us off our current dependence on drug treatments https://t.co/tDhpzpS2DS

Well said, I had the privilege of commentating with @MartGillingham 20 years ago in South Africa. Martin ‘Gill’ingham is a world class commentator, but he gets introduced as Martin ‘Jill’ingham, all very puzzling

The most incredible finish as Alex Yee stuns Hayden Wilde in the Olympic Triathlon, missed by the TV cameras, here is the chase, the catch & the overtake

1/x Thread. It was six years ago this week that Chris Froome was cleared of doping by the UCI. This thread explains in simple and chronological terms what happened.

For those of us who have had the good fortune to use the @TheGautrain know what a ridiculous post this is. @TheGautrain service is excellent 99% of the time, so I choose to applaud those involved (rather than be critical)

So this is the first thing that happens when I get back to South Africa... We're standing on the platform laughing at how bad the customer service at @TheGautrain has become.

Great fun chatting with Greg, who also assures me that Javier Gomez still has plenty of racing in his legs. Should spice up the @t100triathlon series nicely.

So the @Springboks had best carries; best steals; best tackles; best kicker??; most wins; lifted the Cup BUT only one player in the World Cup Dream Team

Best thing I’ve read for 3 weeks, as Mark says, let’s focus on the joy & happiness that our amazing @Springboks have gifted our nation #RWC #Champions

Just an observation: People it is so much more enjoyable to focus on the glory & wonder of our #Springboks arriving back home than to engage in meaningless banter with bitter losers. I, for one, will now only engage in happiness of what was & not in debate of what was not ❤️

Wonder why England are so upset? -The Boks didn't concede a single line break. -SA won 4 scrum penalties. -England have failed to score a single try vs Springboks in all 4 of their knockout matches at RWCup’s. -They we’re celebrating too early @Brendennel @rugby_ap #SAEng

Anyone coming away from that, probably the best game I’ve seen in a decade, talking about the referee and not the game, the spectacle or the emotion should find a different hobby.
