@dr_shai Agreed. But if I CCTd in pure anaesthetics. I could work 1 day a week in ED as a specialty grade and offer anaesthetic teaching / resus teaching to the department...I think this would be highly valuable.

IN OUR SHOP - WE GET THE JUNIOR DOCTORS AND SPECIALTY DOCTORS TO CHANGE THE SCRUB BAGS TO FREE UP OUR PHYSICIAN ASSOCIATES TO INTUBATE AND DO PROCEDURES.
We don’t have the money to do routine tasks so we’ll patronise people into doing it instead. Do these signs exist outside the NHS?

THE ONLY OTHER EXAMPLE WE CAN THINK OF IS ANAESTHETITS. AS NON-MEDICS, EVEN THEY NEED TO SPEND A FEW MONTHS INTERBATING BEFORE THEY CAN DO IT WITHOUT EM SUPERVISING.
This should make you all, very, very, scared. I do not want someone with 80 hours in mental health, surgery, ObGyn and paediatrics (20 each?) to be looking after my loved ones. I do not want a PA who’s spent 20 hours in paediatrics anywhere near a paediatric SpR rota.

DISGRACEFUL. WE WOULDN’T EVEN LET A DOCTOR BOSH SOMEONE IN OUR SHOP UNTIL THEY’VE DONE AT LEAST 160 HOURS OF PHEM. WE INSIST THAT THEY SPEND AT LEAST 20H EACH ON TWITTER, TIKTOK AND PHEM REDDIT WITHIN THAT TOO. AMATEURS.
