It has been a tremendous effort by everyone involved to get the results of the @EmotiveTrial published so quickly, and the findings presented today at the #IMNHC2023 conference.

Postpartum haemorrhage affects ~24 million women per year and is the leading cause of #maternalmortality worldwide. This study finds that the condition can be identified and treated quicker by using a low-cost drape to measure blood loss and bundling @WHO recommended treatments.
A 🆕 trial promises a major breakthrough in preventing deaths from postpartum bleeding, which is the leading cause of maternal mortality globally. Following the intervention, severe bleeding after childbirth was reduced by more than 60%.👉

Important new research on #miscarriage prevention with the largest ever trial on the subject in women with threatened pregnancy loss.
We are delighted to share the findings of the @PRISM_trial. The results show that progesterone treatment can prevent #miscarriage in women with early pregnancy bleeding and a history of one or more previous pregnancy losses @Tommys_baby @BhamCTU @IMSR_UoB.
