The loss of a baby in pregnancy, during or after birth can have a lifelong impact. Our new campaign aims to tell a story we hear so often; of the devastating absence left by pregnancy or baby loss. Our research is here to change that:

This weekend, long-term Tommy's fundraiser Ben will be taking on his latest challenge: walking 120 miles from Gateshead to Manchester with no sleep. He then plans to make 50 ascents of a Greek mountain on 20 July. Thank you and good luck, Ben! 👏.

@GOVUK have confirmed families who go through baby loss before 24 weeks will be entitled to protected bereavement leave. Amendments announced today will mean anyone experiencing pregnancy loss at any stage will have the legal right to take time off work to grieve.

We know the heartbreak & devastation baby loss can cause, no matter when it happens. This amendment is a positive step forward to acknowledging baby loss as bereavement and giving families the time and space they need to deal with their loss.

📢 National maternity and neonatal investigation to be launched. Too many families have suffered preventable harm. The investigation will urgently look at services with specific issues and the entire maternity system, making sure each family receives safe and compassionate care.
