Woohoo!!!
Wowee. Quite a day. Our first AGM and the public announcement of our $30m Fund I in @Forbes from the excellent @rebecca_szkutak. It's been a remarkable year, and there are a gazillion people to thank but the following I hope feel like they share in this: https://t.co/GwubZMvUlV

My biggest opinion change over the last few years is on startups acquiring startups. I used to think it never works. I've since seen it successful more often than not, and at times save the acquiring company. I think we under-appreciate how mature the tech industry is.

A person called OwlKitty changed the Business Card scene from “American Psycho” to the guys showing each other pictures of their cats on their phones… and it could possibly be the greatest masterpiece ever 😂

A favorite nerdy tradition is the over-complicated, completely impractical way to solve a simple problem. For example, here is how to build a 29-card Magic the Gathering deck that makes your opponents play Uno instead of Magic the Gathering: https://t.co/Y5dj5Ktqrr

I spoke with venture capitalist @peterpham, who was born in a refugee camp just one month after the fall of Saigon, about his feelings on the Afghans who may be left behind. https://t.co/m9BOoVK4Dj

I’ve donated to JFCS and HIAS in memory my dad and I hope you’ll consider making a small contribution, too. There will be a lot of families like ours that will need your help rebuilding their lives in the coming years, and I can’t think of a better organization to lead the work.

JFCS will be resettling 60 refugees here in the Bay Area by the end of this month, with many more to follow, just like HIAS helped my parents find their footing this month 46 years ago.

Our family’s rocky journey really only began after they left Camp Pendleton with the sponsorship of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS). JFCS East Bay, the organization linked above, is a key part of HIAS’s activities in the Bay Area.

because it was so important to my parents that we understood just what it took for us all to get here. This upswell in violence has so many echoes of the last days of South Vietnam.

Please consider donating to resettle the Afghan refugees who are fleeing the collapse of the country: https://t.co/2QpkpAl2Cg Tonight I’m watching the situation in Afghanistan play out with my heart in my throat. I grew up watching videos of the fall of Saigon over and over,

I've said this before, we need a "consumer reports" org w/ independent validation of AI vendor algorithms: https://t.co/m5md4autS9 "A study found that a system used to identify cases of sepsis missed most instances and frequently issued false alarms."
