I can guarantee you if you had a company like Adobe stop making their programs for Windows, you'd get a surge of MacOS users. Any software company in a monopoly position has the ability to do this.

Doesn't matter what you think, the only reason people will be forced to move to Windows 11 is not because Microsoft said they'd stop updates for 10, it's because developers building for Windows will stop having things work on 10. People couldn't care less about the OS.

I need a big company to just go "We'll only be supporting Debian based systems going forward" or some shit and watch Microsoft crash out someday or something ngl. People use Windows because companies keep building for it. Windows will keep sucking because no-one can stop em.
From October 2026, Windows 11 will be required to play on FACEIT. This date aligns with Microsoft’s ESU schedule as Windows 10 will stop receiving security updates from the 13th of October, 2026. If you’re on Windows 10, you'll need to upgrade before that point.

I really liked how they streamlined the gameplay to just the essentials and went from there for the reboot, BF1 benefited a lot of it. This is how remakes should be done, break the game down until only the core parts are left, then make something new with that core.

the Battlefront reboot was the base for Battlefield 1, same tech, same vision, same mechanics, similar aesthetics. When the beta came out, first thing people noticed was "Woah this plays just like Battlefront wtf"

Love when gamba sites own half the community. Really indicative of a lot of things about CS.
idk when this happened but apparently the only way to reliably find cs2 servers was bought by the devil this is sad to see since in theory they're now in full control over what community servers are being displayed or promoted and it appears that there isn't any alternative yet

Games are designed around their mechanics, telling someone to just not engage with a core mechanic is stupid.

@BlazenWrath “Make it an option” is the biggest red flag for a dysfunctional design. We have no vision for what this is supposed to be, here’s the tools to fix it yourself.

Hitmarkers in singleplayer FPS games need to stop, like holy shit how creatively bankrupt do you have to be to keep putting them in???

We need to go back to games stripping out "expected features" that don't fit their gameplay loop. Bulletstorm, FPS from 2011 had no jumping.

A game using gaussian splatting would go hard. Forget raytracing etc... we need to go back to static bakes.
Today, PlayCanvas is sharing a live demonstration of our Streaming LOD system for 3D Gaussian Splatting. Dynamically stream vast splat-based scenes of arbitrary complexity. 100% free. 100% open source. Demo link 👇 [1 / 2]

Expecting Valve to make a new CS on Source 2 was too much to ask, we're stuck with CS:GO 2, more generic than ever.

Doesn't help that the new identity of CS they've been pushing since mid CS:GO is just generic as fuck.. it lost its charm, it lost its visual identity, its audio identity, its entire vibe and juice... now reduced to smooth Source 2 slop with no kick.

People really do only care about skins, CS itself truly died a while ago.

American Heritage Revival Liberalism promised progress but delivered chaos. It promised tolerance but delivered hate. It promised equity but delivered poverty. Now the American people are turning away — and turning back toward the values that made this country great.
