biggest disappointment views-wise i've had in quite awhile tbh. I'm feeling a similar way to when I started branching out from Halo a bit over a year ago, that it may be time to put the challenge thing to rest and experiment with other formats

this is the same as "why watch a lets play when you can just play the game yourself?". challenges are just a way to frame and structure the video. people don't watch these to see the hardest thing imaginable. they watch for the commentary and to see what funny things happen.

I wouldn't even really call it a "take" either. That's just my perception of the games. I like what I like and don't like what I don't like 🤷♂️.

my take on all the 343 halo games since I started my channel has consistently been that they're decent games that I can have fun playing but I just prefer the older games so I mostly play those instead. this also means I get called both a bungie fanboy and 343 apologist.

Don't confuse YouTube popularity with a real community. Millions of subscribers mean nothing if you can't get them to take action when it matters. A small, engaged audience is far more valuable.

pretty much everyone I know personally was nothing but encouraging when I started, except for one person who laughed when I told him I'd started a channel and said something like "what could you even make videos about". I no longer speak to this person.
Every Creator has had some of these:. - Videos that flopped.- Streams with 0 viewers.- Friends who said to quit.- Channel ideas that didn't work.- Scrapped video ideas.- Family who doubted them.- Videos they never posted.- Tons of self-doubt.- a lot more. Support each other more.
