I’m on my way to the sixth prison this week: met with some incredible people who live & work there, observed their routine struggles, shared with them the burden of despair and the pressure of finding hope. I’m angry at the silence & ignorance that enables the politics of denial.

Great to see our expertise on discrimination complaints being recognised by @HMIPrisonsnews in the recent inspection report @hmp_leyhill. Clear improvements and commitment to equality issues from the D&I team, who have an admirably receptive attitude to external critical friends.
