After weeks of hot dry weather Yorkshire's hedgehogs are struggling to stay hydrated. This little fellow is being given plenty to drink at a hedgehog hospital in York. As the heatwave continues please leave some water at ground level in your garden so hedgehogs can reach it!

We loved seeing our meeerl (as it's pronounced in East Yorkshire) on #Winterwatch ! Our nature reserves assistant Paul Wray filmed the mole puttering through a very icy North Cave Wetlands reserve in November - it's also a great place to spot bitterns, waders and birds of prey!
