Congrats to the new inductees. The HOF is barely a museum when it omits Joe Jackson, Pete Rose, Barry Bonds, Gary Sheffield, Roger Clemens, and so many others. The exclusion of the Andrew Jones’ and Dale Murphys while enshrining guys like Phil Rizzutto is a true embarrassment.

I think the Titanic is so ingrained in our history and culture that the mere name attracts interest. The immigrant story is equally important, but we hear “Titanic disaster” and take notice. It’s taught into us. I’m sorry for all lives lost, but Titanic is a bigger story.
