I think with context it’s an interesting point. Outside of the US you’re identified by your nationality and ethnicity so it’s more jarring for the foreigners when they come to the US and all that is stripped away and you’re just Black.

After a year of dating, to ghost for several days then to come back and shit all over her family that way was so cruel. I can think of so many other ways to go about handling this breakup that enforces standards and boundaries but doesn't insult and ridicule her entire family
