Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Jay and Kingfisher from last Sunday's trip to @ladywalk_nr. Another one of those days where everything seems quiet, but one by one, species start to show. Snipe and Stonechat were other highlights. @WestMidBirdClub

Male Little Ringed Plover at @WestMidBirdClub Belvide Reserve, Staffs, taken earlier this summer. I wonder where it is now on its journey to sub-Saharan Africa, for the winter. The wonders of Bird migration! #Birds #Birding #Birdwatching #Birdphotography

Many thanks to the 20 sites who participated in yesterday's #westmidsalldayer - 4 sites managed to break the 100 mark with Blithfield narrowly pipping Belvide to the post. I'll pull together a list of all the species seen across the sites (usually c140 species). Well done all πŸ‘

The current forecast for Saturday's #WestMidsAllDayer- could be better but could be worse; just a shame its clear overnight with no rain during the day. Sunday still looking good for some inland movement with overnight southeasterlies then rain during the day #AllWeekender

Fantastic news! A Nightjar was ringed at @LaneMarsh last night, just a stone’s throw from Birmingham Airport ✈️. That makes 6 in 4 years, all juveniles, highlighting a clear migration route for these elusive birds πŸŒ™πŸͺΆ. #Nightjar #BirdMigration
