Pretty quiet at @RSPBMiddleton this morning where the most interesting thing noted was this rather dusky Canada Goose; whether it's anything more than just a dusky runt is beyond my pay grade, I'm afraid. Otherwise, Goosander, Dunlin, Snipe, 2 GWE, 2 Stonechat. @Staffsbirdnews

After 3 weeks in Bolivia, my first visit to @RSPBMiddleton in a month was, unsurprisingly, rather light on tanagers, antbirds and condors. Still, a latish Garganey was a pleasing find on Reed Pool. Also 3 Shelduck, Dunlin, 10 Snipe, Stonechat, 7 Mipit, 4 Siskin. @Staffsbirdnews

Black Tern still showing well at West-end of Shustoke Reservoir this afternoon. Change of venue to @LaneMarsh was well timed to see a large female Peregrine cause chaos with the ducks, gulls and Lapwings. Avocet and 20+ Mipits other birds of note.

Many thanks to the 20 sites who participated in yesterday's #westmidsalldayer - 4 sites managed to break the 100 mark with Blithfield narrowly pipping Belvide to the post. I'll pull together a list of all the species seen across the sites (usually c140 species). Well done all π

A nip round @RSPBMiddleton this afternoon as the showers ended found this morning's Ruffs MIA - presumably cleared out as soon as the first heavy shower ended. Nice to get my 2nd Clouded Yellow in a week here as one skipped west over Jubilee.
