Can't help but chuckle at all the Verizon customers threatening to jump ship after yesterday. Don't know what caused it, but it's likely something that can/will affect other, or even all, carriers. After 15 years using Verizon yesterday was still not enough to make me leave.

"One of the most principled"
One of the most principled and knowledgeable American voices Scott Ritter has been "de-banked." Finding respectable workarounds (and euphemisms) for censorship is one of the few areas where "liberal" West has made actual progress over past three decades. Hold strong, Scott.

It's not even that practical, it's literally just vanity.
I used to not understand the lounge thing because I barely flew. Now that I'm flying more I still don't get it. People get the expensive credit cards so they can get some replacement level free food whenever they have to spend a couple hours at an airport? That's it?

The single thing most likely to make me tune someone out is realising their conclusions are all driven by one big ideology, while the specifics of individual cases barely register. Common examples: 1. The root cause is capitalism 2. Government is to blame 3. Something something

You're complaining about "losing faith in mainstream media" yet all I see you giving America is reasons to lose faith in law enforcement... This isn't going to end the way you children think it is.
This despicably misleading headline is exactly why the American people have completely lost faith in the mainstream media. This journalist knows the facts, was given the truth, and adamantly REFUSES to report it. Here are the facts: At 6:50 PM CT, federal law enforcement

I'm less interested in the credit, and way more interested in the postmortem. What happened that ~200k customers lost service for so long?
Yesterday, we did not meet the standard of excellence you expect and that we expect of ourselves. To help provide some relief to those affected, we will give you a $20 account credit that can be easily redeemed by logging into the myVerizon app. You will receive a text message

You say this now, but Charlotte will get its chance at redemption next month if rumint is to be believed.
Minneapolis, pop 430k, really punches above its weight in national news. Boston, pop 650k, is more like a city the news forgot. Also bigger: Denver, Charlotte, Columbus... Phoenix is our 5th largest city. When was the last time Phoenix made a national headline?

Wanna learn exactly how banks investigate debit/credit card fraud? I'm sure there will be plenty of offshore workers willing to spill the beans for a sufficient enough bribe. They get paid shit compared to the paltry compensation Americans get to do the job.

Up until last week I worked Reg E calls for a large U.S. consumer bank, high-volume call-center type work. Those jobs have been getting shovelled offshore hand over fist (U.S. employees cost them A LOT). Interesting junction given reporting re: Coinbase's breach(es).
Big Tech is quietly moving jobs overseas. 52% of tech and banking professionals say their companies will increase hiring in India in 2026. 38% say those hires are replacing US jobs. 93% of employees at global firms expect India headcount to keep expanding. Google, Amazon,

Here's the thing about the Greenland deal that people aren't talking about enough, and it's related to the US economy. We're in a huge amount of debt as a percentage of our GDP. Nobody likes to talk about it, but it's essentially insurmountable. We've been in bad shape for a
