Congratulations to over 200 2nd grade students of Wards 7 and 8 who completed our Biking Cornerstone program and learned to ride a bike! Each student received their own bike and gear thanks to our partnership with @dcbikeride. Can't wait to see scholars cruise through DC!🚲

DC may not have senators, but we do have allies in the Senate. Thank you to @SenPeterWelch for objecting yesterday when Republicans tried to quietly pass Rep. Pfluger’s bill to overturn a local DC voting law.
Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) just asked for unanimous consent on Senate floor to repeal DC law allowing noncitizens to vote in local elections. Called DC a "warzone." Sen. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) objected, calling the law "settled local policy" and promoting home rule, so effort failed

I am fine, Mr. Chairman. Three weeks I experienced a health setback and have had no subsequent issues. I'm working every day on Ward 7 and Council business, while at the same time undergoing physical therapy.
I’ve heard that Councilmember @VinceGrayWard7 has had another health setback in recent days. I wish him a speedy recovery as he works his way back to important work with the Council and representing Ward 7.
