Same goes for @KingCountyMetro drivers who need to keep speeds below 30mph to prevent damage to chains cc @wastatepatrol
We're hearing that some people are acting aggressively toward our plow drivers. Stop it. They have to drive slow to accurately put down product without wasting it. How 'bout we give our plow drivers a smile, or even a nice little wave.

I used to carry the "Buy Transit Tickets on your phone" info cards to hand out to tourists and new riders when they boarded asking if they could pay with a credit card. These are no longer available. Please bring them back, @KingCountyMetro and/or @SoundTransit

17+ years of driving in rush hour traffic is fabulous training for watching this debate. Just stop... Breathe... Compose yourself and move on... Safely.

It's incredibly frustrating to have a bus of 40-80 (or more!) blocked by one person a car who will "just be a minute" ... Seriously, just stay out of the bus lane.

Public Utility Commision hearings ? (Oh, wait, no… https://t.co/J3QUFiBsh7) So many under-covered hearings… So few people willing to subject themselves to hearing torture. Thank you…

Great news—the South Lake Union streetcar is back up and running this morning. After testing in simulated service, the trains are now operating properly and reliably. Thank you for your patience as we made the necessary repairs. Learn more: https://t.co/REuYDPmiWQ

While I wholeheartedly agree with the ad’s Message, I wonder why @seattledot is paying for safety ads on Eastside buses. These RapidRide coaches only serve the B Line, though it’s possible they may switch bases during the new Shakeup 🤞🤔

Was surprised to see this damaged @SoundTransit coach starting up in yard… Then I realized a VM worker was in the seat. Look forward to driving this coach on the 545 soon.

I certainly hope RapidRide G doesn't get stuck at multiple traffic lights for 1-2 minutes a pop like the B line does. All RapidRide lines should be regularly audited for Signal Priority improvements but that's not been my experience.
Earlier today, @MayorofSeattle & leaders from @FTA_DOT, @seattledot, @KingCountyMetro, @SoundTransit & @kcexec celebrated completion of Madison RapidRide G Line! Starting 9/14, the new RapidRide will connect downtown to key neighborhoods along Madison St. https://t.co/uYNdIgMvSF

Did you see this silver Hyundai Elantra last Saturday evening? If so, call Bellevue Police (425-577-5656). Juveniles driving this vehicle allegedly & intentionally hit a bicyclist. The victim was treated & released from Overlake. But these suspects must be held accountable.

"The utility recently signed an agreement to place solar panels in eastern Oregon ..." Eastern Oregon has more sun, but it also requires long distance transmission which incurs line losses. Solar in the city delivers power directly at the distribution level. 🤔
Customers of Seattle City Light will pay more for electricity in the coming years than originally forecast as the public utility struggles with increased demand. Here's how much more rates will increase. https://t.co/XxyPWrndXY

In other news, Seattle Bike advocates consider trading places with Sisyphus after enviously eyeing his relatively easy task for decades...
If Seattle can’t figure a way around ongoing litigation over the Burke-Gilman’s “missing link” on Shilshole Avenue NW, it has a nascent plan b, done at the request of CM Dan Strauss and Mayor Bruce Harrell. Some renderings released today at 5:

Tourism is a curse when it is pursued as an end unto itself. At best, it is the means to an end, something to mature beyond. Places stuck as tourist destinations are extractive and exploitative of locals. Always build your city for the people you have, not the people you want.
Tourism is a curse. The place becomes unlivable. Real estate values rise but future generations priced out of the market. Convenience stores become luxury outlets. Natives move out, jet setters own empty apartments.. The planet is too small & everybody wants to go to Venice.

Watched someone flying drone under / near @SEACityLight power lines where crews removed another one several years ago at cost of $35,000: https://t.co/MHCWpHMO4M Can't imagine FAA regs allow drone flights anywhere near high voltage lines w/o approval Really, really bad idea..

A drone stuck on a power line over Lake Union for nearly a week came down Saturday, at a cost of nearly $35,000.

Translation: People wait for buses, buses don't wait for people I miss 3 minute headways... On the C Line passengers would be half a block away when I was stopped for time and they didn't even bother to run. They knew another bus would be along shortly
