Fresh out of the SDOT Sign Shop! We're installing this sign on southbound 1st Ave S for the entrance ramp towards West Seattle. 3 DAYS until the #WestSeattleBridge reopens on 9/18! In the days to follow, we'll be working tirelessly to remove/replace >100 detour route signs!

On hot days like today, our crews proactively spray down our steel movable bridges to help keep them cool! This is necessary because the high temperatures can cause the steel to expand and potentially create problems for opening and closing functions. 💦🥵 (1/3)

This morning SDOT was able to remove ten concrete barriers around the 10th and Pine area to allow for increased street access. The work occurred initially without incident. As more crowds gathered, crews departed around 9:45 AM.
