Not to mention years of actively working against your own grads who are just asking for fair working conditions and wages in return for our critical research labor. You don't have an R1 without RAs!.

Don't get us wrong, it's nice to see a hint of a spine from admin, but there's a clear message about priorities when you choose to join a lawsuit over funding after months of silence and complicity during attacks on your international researchers.

So UMD is willing to fight for grant money, but won't stand up for the people who actually perform the research that the money funds. .

On 3/19 UMD got a letter from a House committee asking for info on Chinese faculty/students and their research/funding. We expect this will be used to target our Chinese colleagues under the pretense of "national security". Tell UMD: DON'T COMPLY! Thread:
