Welcome to the 300 students who arrived on campus this weekend from states that require a 14-day quarantine. It's certainly not a typical start to the fall semester, but we're glad to see you here in Rochester!
The University of Rochester opened its doors 170 years ago today, welcoming approximately 60 students. At the time, the University was located in the former United States Hotel on Buffalo Street (now West Main Street), where it remained for 11 years.
