Local 872 members stand with our union siblings at @uaw_4811 after the despicable and violent attacks on them by right-wing agitators last night. It is unfathomable that @UCLA would stand by and let this happen — we’ll be arm-in-arm with you in fighting for accountability.
Last night, students and workers protesting peacefully at UCLA for justice in Palestine were physically attacked by a group of 100+ counter protesters. UC’s failure to protect students and workers is an abdication of its responsibility. UAW 4811 members are mobilizing in response.

Tonight’s deployment of militarized police violence against CUNY and Columbia protestors is horrific and reprehensible. There need to be swift & severe consequences for every university administrator and govt official responsible for these brutal crackdowns on campus protests.
Friends, please, please amplify. The NYPD are now raiding City College. Reports are hundreds of cops. Please, I know that what happened at Columbia tonight is sickening--but this is Part II. And our @cuny students are largely working class students of color.

Arresting union members in retaliation for protected concerted activity is not only abhorrent; it’s a clear violation of federal law. The ULP charge USC is now facing is the latest in a slew of rebukes of the administration’s handling of our mass movement of students and workers.

On Wednesday, USC arrested and charged Local 872 members for protesting USC’s financial ties to war profiteering — positions supported by our union, as part of a protest endorsed by our union.
