This article hits the nail on the head: @ProMED_mail's greatest strength is not its timeliness, but it's accessibility and its veracity. The experienced, expert moderators are key to the success of the site. That cannot be replaced by AI or auto-scraping of news or social media.

Whenever I write about long-covid or ME, I get waves of emails from chronically ill folk who feel seen/heard. But with this piece, I'm *also* hearing from healthy people saying they finally get what their loved ones are going through. Which feels amazing. https://t.co/oFWb6Flyh0

BREAKING: Rome, Italy just experienced its highest temperature in recorded history with 42.9°C (109.2°F). This beats the previous record from 2022 by 2 full degrees Celsius. That is a huge margin.

“The CDC's new goal is at least 5 air changes per hour (ACH)..For context, a typical home has less than 0.5 ACH. This represents the first time in history that the agency has set a ventilation target to address respiratory infectious diseases”

Stronger ventilation standards could represent a monumental shift.
